I couldn’t read past the first volume of the light novel because of how packed it was with economics terms and anecdotes. It took me a while to go through it. It was quite literally an economics nerd’s wet dream. And that’s far too slow of a pacing for my tastes. So I paused it indefinitely.

I’m so glad the anime cut out most of the inner monologues. Now it’s mostly our characters doing what they do best. The chemistry is immaculate. Studio passione really nailed that part of it. The emotions they show, their minor movements, all those intimate interactions are so well done.

Only issue I would say I have is with the world building. The books had quite a bit of it that was cut. And I could feel it. Especially past volume one. Not that I remember much from what I’ve read. Some scenes felt like it was just missing that extra touch. That extra angle to make it hit all the more.

All in all, I’m quite enjoying this. Even though it feels as if it could’ve been done a bit better.

Nice show. The resolutions to most of the arcs felt a little forced. As if the story was going out of its way to come to the conclusions it came to. If I ignored that, the story is quite fun. I like the kinds of problems it touches. Its very biblical in a way. The show does go quite hand in hand in how it criticizes religion. While also reinforcing the purpose of religion, rather than degrading it outright. I like it.
