I did not expect this to be as good as it is. Honestly. The story is pretty good. It reminds me of the Witcher books. The fantasy and story structuring aspect is pretty similar. I think I finally understand the mindset needed to adapt stuff to anime.

Compared to its anime, the light novel is very very serious. Anime in essence is goofy. That’s something I got to accept from the beginning. Hell, it’s that goofiness that kept me from getting into anime for the longest time. Character designs are exaggerated. Character tropes are cherished. And most of all. Everything’s so chill. That’s why for me. This medium is a learned one. I didn’t like it when I first saw it. Rather I grew to see the beauty in it through acceptance.
