Well played show. Well played. You’ve made me interested in your plot a thousand times over. The first episode of season one was amazing, there’s literally no competition regarding that. After that I wasn’t entirely sure if the show itself could top that. Lucky for me, though it took somewhat of an unexpected route with its story telling, I loved it. It was a fun tale. I loved all of the characters too.
Coming from that, the high hopes that I had for S2 were well met. I think I love this a little bit more than the previous season even. Because this culminates conflicts that we knew we were going to see into a neat package.
One thing I noticed about this show is how well it shows character’s emotions. There’s almost never a scene where I go, “You could’ve at least showed me their faces to see how they were reacting” or “There isn’t even an eye shot to express rather than saying it out loud?” These types of inconsistency and show not tell issues were literally non existent with this. It knew exactly how to tell its story and it just fucking went with it.
This is definitely one of the best shows I’ve seen period. Not just because it has an amazing story, the execution is top notch. It doesn’t really leave room for questioning.
