I can’t help but agree, this season had some forgiving factors to it. Its still the same bullshit as ever but there were momentary glimpses of what this show could have been.
Friends fighting together against insurmountable odds thanks to their tacticianary strategy. A dungeon that is far more complex than a mere loot and money farm. A romance of characters with clashing ideals, learning to aligning their views in the face of a dreadful enemy. Telling so many tales concurrently is no mere feat. In no ways could it be stale.
In execution by this show however… of course that’s not gonna happen. This is, at the end of the day, aimed at the harem crowd. It literally can’t grow beyond that template. It will continue to be the bottom tier fantasy it is, but a man can dream, can’t he?
