When you’re a part of the same family or are close so another person. You see them at their worst and their best. You see how they act when they’re in desperation and when they’re happy beyond imagination. Unless you pay no attention at all, you understand a close one’s personality and their traits. This is considered normal when you get to know someone, more than an average person on the street. It may not even be conscious. Noticing the little things it built into our senses. This is why it’s very easy to notice if someone’s nervous or angry. There are very common traits we exhibit when we are in such an emotion.
This manga, wholly imagines that you can perfectly hide a hidden motive through out your whole life from people who you literally have breakfast with. You can’t just hide emotions like that. People are observant. Even if for some reason your life’s goal is to keep a certain characteristic of you hidden. It would leak out. Sometimes you don’t even notice when they do. It may be when you see that dad didn’t bring your favorite type of ice cream. Or when the person before you took all chicken out of the bowl at dinner, before you even started serving yourself. These instances can and will make emotions you try to hide away beneath the layers of deception to show themselves. We all have weaknesses, no one’s perfect at lying. Even sociopaths loose at their own game sometimes.
So, assuming that you can keep fundamental characteristics of yourself such as narcissism hidden away from people you interact with everyday is in my opinion, idiotic. Which is why I consider this manga idiotic. It’s assumptions of how blind people are is at times absurd. But I may be reading too deep within the lines considering this is practically a hentai but, even hentai’s can have a concrete plot. Take Nozoki Ana or Velvet Kiss for example. They don’t try to justify the hentai parts with absurd human logic. They try to build upon it, which this, clearly does not. This had potential if you ask me. The premise was good. Some characters were good. I mean, take the main guy’s development into account, he had a very good arc. This even explored some existential questions with April, you don’t see that everyday. Even the office girl was well written, her dialogue too, especially the last pages. Though the art board where we got to see her at a the end were a bit bad; cos it ‘s lacking in the number of boards and perspectives shown.
It’s those three sisters that seriously disgust me. May, June and Theo’s cousin. Man, those three fucking characters. Especially the cousin and June. They were just making me cringe unconditionally. Honestly it was hard reading them. I mean, hard as in, if it wasn’t for the hentai I would’ve dropped (looking at you fuuka) it immediately. However, the scenes were pretty good, and well choreographed, no doubt in that. But as a small boobs guy, most of the jugs were just, sigh. Except for the cousin. Though she lacked in character. Her figure was perfect.
