Wow, that was a wild ride. I loved how much focus the show put on the detective. Showing us so many minor glimpses into her life and psyche. Sipping on a cig under the night sky, looking at a moon and sighing at its sight. That masterpiece of a scene where she was running away after being confronted for putting bullets in vampire’s heads. In between all the serious even borderline slice of life drama, we got such peak comedy. This season definitely empowers the first in many more ways than one. The story is definitely blossoming. During the final confrontation, and whatever what leading up to that, I was genuinely wondering what the detective would do next. Because we’ve seen her, we know she’s a funny and messy klutz sometimes, how would someone like that process something like this. Because she wasn’t just a villain, watching it along with trying to predict how she’s react was fun. Great show. There were even moments when it got emotional. The whole scenes with Nasuna’s mother figure vampire, and her yuri-esque relationship scenes. They got me to the brink of tears.

I wonder where the story will go next. Now that we’ve covered hunters, i guess an evil vampire is next. A whole arc dedicated to one of them i suppose, the one that killed the hunter’s parents? Most likely. I’m skeptical about how good it might turn out to be, just as I was skeptical of this season but if the track record proves anything, its that i shouldn’t be too worried.
