I somewhat liked the first chapter. The second tho. It just… It seemed too eerily similar to bloom into you. I just couldn’t think of it as original. That plus the fact that sayaka was my least liked character of the anime and manga really didn’t help.

I didn’t really expect much going into the novel. In the end. I didn’t end up with much either. It just didn’t have anything to grab me. If it wasn’t as short as it was, I would’ve definitely dropped it half way.

The story just seemed so… dumb. I think this mainly stems from the difference in gender between the characters this portrays and mine. Okay, I understood the reasoning behind the the characters but.. I just couldn’t connect with them. I mean, I completely get Chie’s point of view. You don’t always feel the same way about people. You change. With time you even find the roots of your desires. But knowing this didn’t make me care anymore about them.

I really don’t plan on continuing the series further. For now I’m just gonna keep it as it is.
