I really like the feel I get reading this. It has this vibe to it. A chilled out but curious atmosphere. I love the culture and history behind alcohol. And this just feeds me more and more. The last time I’ve been this enthustiastic about spirits was when I listened to the audiobook, Proof: The Science of Booze. This conjured the same thirst in me. It wasn’t a thirst for booze per se, but for information. Like, it makes me want to learn more about that part of the world.

From it’s Formula 1 Paul Richard track reference to it’s thoughful analysis of the saying ‘judging a book by it’s cover’. The manga is full of saying for your soul and interests alike. Best of all, now I finally remember the difference between the Martini and the Manhattan.

The manga isn’t perfect by all means. Even though the manga follows it’s characters very closely. Side characters at times feel like they have no personality. As if they’re slaves to the ideology they’re meant to portray for the plot.

This however can be certainly over looked when you contrast anything with the man who mixes the “The Glass of the Gods”. Man that sounds so cool. See that’s the feeling I get when reading the manga. I just feel a sence of awe. From it’s poetic dialogue to the varying topics it touches on. It fills me up like drinking a fine glass of wine.
