This manga looks amazing. There’s no doubt about it. The character art, the background, the settings. They all look breathtaking. When I first started this, I was completely pulled in. However, that was only the start. As I read on, chapter after chapter. Something changed. The conflicts seemed to be stretching far wider than they were supposed to. After the first dozen chapters, the story started getting bland. Even the comedy, which was subtle but interesting, vanished.

Coming from a background where the saying “if you’re lonely, suck it up and go make friends” exists. The conflicts of the manga felt extremely exaggerated and forced. It didn’t feel real. Around the end. The characters only felt like husks made to carry a different type of loneliness in them just so the author could drive home a point.

The start of the manga is quite the opposite. It felt lively. There was even some comedy sprinkled here and there. The characters had a soul to them. Then at it came to a close. The only thing the characters could express was their loneliness. That’s basically it.
